Yvonne Wambaa, CRNP, PMHNP-BC
Ms. Yvonne Wambaa has over 11 years of experience as a registered nurse, caring for patients in general medical and surgery as well as long-term care before transitioning to caring for people with psychiatric illnesses. Currently, she is focused on supporting patients who need behavioral health treatment in Baltimore County as beyond.
Ms. Wambaa has worked at a state psychiatric hospital and in the adult inpatient unit and psychiatric emergency services at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She also served as an adjunct professor in the nursing program at Anne Arundel Community College.
Ms. Wambaa received a B.S. in psychology from Morgan State University in Baltimore, and then she attended Binghamton University in New York, where she received a B.S. in nursing. She went on to complete an M.S. in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She has clinical expertise in many diverse behavioral health fields, including:
Attention deficit disorders (ADD and ADHD)
Ms. Wambaa believes in working with her clients to develop a holistic plan of care often involving both the benefits of psychotherapy and medication management. She is compassionate and committed to supporting her clients so that they can live life to its fullest potential and be mentally and physically healthy.
